Για την ανατολική Μεσόγειο έβαλε ξαφνικά πλώρη το γαλλικό αεροπλανοφόρο «Charles de Gaulle» με την ομάδα μάχης του.
Το γαλλικό αεροπλανοφόρο και η ομάδα μάχης του επιχειρούσαν αυτό τον καιρό στη Βαλτική.
Αιτία της εσπευμένης μετακίνησης του είναι ο πόλεμος με το Ιράν.
